Beth Lentini said her diagnosis has 'ruined her life', but she refused to let it define her. Faced with constant pain and uncertainty, she made the bold decision to channel her struggle into training to become a paramedic.

Endometriosis is a chronic condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows in other parts of the body [NHS]. For women like Beth, it can cause intense pain and can be debilitating on a day-to-day basis.

Beth is currently conducting her paramedic training at Teesside University. Her diagnosis, along with countless hours spent in hospitals and numerous ambulance callouts, is what inspired her to pursue a career dedicated to helping others in similar situations.
