Endometriosis is a chronic condition where tissue similar to the lining of the uterus grows in other parts of the body [NHS].

Whilst Endometriosis does not necessarily cause infertility, there is an association with fertility problems. It is suggested this may be due to the disease distorting the reproductive organs [Endometriosis UK].

When speaking with Ella Wilson, Lorraine shared her experiences within the healthcare system. She said that things could have been done to improve her life and avoid this outcome.

Doctors find it heart-warming to see women with endometriosis overcome infertility and successfully conceive, though it is acknowledged that this isn’t always possible.
